The TCS4605 is a 60V,5 A, step down regulator withan integrated high side MOSFET. The TCS4605adopting the peak current mode control, supports thePSM mode which assists the converter on achievinghigh efficiency at light load or standby condition.
The TCS4605 features programmable switchingfrequency from 100 kHz to 2MHz with an externalresistor, which provides the flexibility to optimize eitherefficiency or external component size. The convertersupports external clocksynchronization withafrequency band from 160 kHz to 2MHz. The TCS4605allows power conversion from high input voltage to lowoutput voltage with a minimum 130ns on-time of high.side MOSFET.
Fault protection includes secondary cycle-by-cyclecurrent limit, short circuit protection and thermalshutdown. Intemal sof-start minimizes the inrushsupply current and the output overshoot at initial startup.The TCS4605 is available in an 8-pin SOP-8(EP)package.
