The XA5012 is a monolithic asynchronous boostDC-DC converter. lts PwM circuitry with built-in 6A60m2 power MOSFET make this regulator highlypower efficient.
The XA5012 has wide input voltage range from2.9V~12V to support applications with single-cell ortwo-cell lithium batteries. The device could have 6Aswitching curent capacity to provide an outputvoltage up to 14V.
The XA5012 uses curent mode PWM controltopology to regulate the output voltage. That worksinto power saving mode to get better efficiency forbattery in light load condition.In heavy loadcondition, the XA5012 works into PwM operatingmode.
The XA5012 non-inverting input of error amplifierconnects to 0.6V precision reference voltage andinternal soft-start function can reduce the inrushcurent. In addition, overvoltage protection, cycleby cycle over curent protection, and thermashutdown protection are designed into this chip.
